EAT Family-Friendly Intensive:
Permaculture Design Certificate Course, July 14 – 29 2007, Franklin, North Carolina
at Center at Rose Creek

A Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course, including earth-based spirituality, direct action training, and nature awareness.

Taught by Starhawk, Penny Livingston-Stark and Patricia Allison.

Experience permaculture family style at The Center at Rose Creek in the southern Appalachians near Asheville, North Carolina! If you've always wanted to practice sustainability with your family, this course is for you. A first in the history of permaculture trainings (not just at EAT, but anywhere!!!), this residential EAT Intensive presents a unique opportunity for families to learn the principles and practices of permaculture, nature awareness, magical activism, and ritual together. While there will be separate tracks for young people aged 5-12, teens, and adults, the tracks will follow parallel curriculums. So you'll be able to bring up “stacking functions” and “sheet mulching” with your children over dinner and they'll know precisely what you're talking about.

Students in the adult program will receive a PDC, and Children will receive a special certificate honoring their achievement upon completion of the course. Childcare will NOT be available for children under 5, please make other arrangements for the wee little ones.

[Note: this course is not restricted to “families only.” Please feel free to come solo if you wish, lot's of other folks will be too!]
